As Co-Founder and CEO, Upen Varanasi is responsible for setting the overall strategy and vision for Riversand. Mr. Varanasi also holds overall responsibility for all day to day operations of Riversand. Being one of the founders of the company and an early innovator in the area, Mr. Varanasi brings extensive experience in the areas of PIM, PLM and Content Management.

Prior to this, Mr. Varanasi oversaw various roles within Riversand, such as Engineering and Implementation Services. Prior to Riversand, he worked with enterprise software companies such as Trilogy Software and EDS-PLM across industry verticals such as Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing and Oil & Gas.

Mr. Varanasi holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Chennai and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri.

Anil is responsible for the implementation of Riversand's technology solutions at client organizations and manages the professional services organization.

His expertise is in the area of data management and application of technology to facilitate intelligent data analysis and use. During the course of his career, he has worked with several Fortune 100 companies where he has focused on the development and maintenance of several large-scale data management and inventory and pricing management systems. He has also taught several courses in the application of technology to solve business problems.

Anil holds a Ph.D. in Information and Operations Management from Texas A&M University and has published several articles in the field. The focus of his research has been to investigate the application of information technology to alleviate business problems, with an emphasis on innovation adoption, game theory and human-machine interaction. He also earned a Master' degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from India.

In her role as COO, Santi is responsible for the day to day operations of Riversand including the oversight of the company's Professional Services, Account Management, and Oil & Gas organizations.

Santi has extensive experience working with software and consulting companies and spent many years focused on the industries in which Riversand operates. She has held operational and advisory roles in the US and internationally. Prior to joining Riversand she led the consulting and pipeline divisions at Quorum Business Solutions, a leading provider of software and consulting services to the energy industry. She was co-founder and Vice President of Operations at Junot Systems, and a key member of Ernst & Young's Management Consulting Energy Practice.

Santi holds a BA with High Honors in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Raul is responsible for overall account management and customer satisfaction at Riversand. He has a background and expertise are in the areas of Supplier On-Boarding and Content Management, as well as in the Management of Information Systems and Global eBusiness’ markets. During the course of his career, he has worked for and with several Fortune 100 companies, like IBM, where he has focused on the design, development, management, and maintenance of several large-scale data management and process management systems.

 

He is also one of the inventors for two US and International Patents for: User Creation and Direction of a Rich-Content Life-Cycle and eCatalog Supplier Portal. Raul holds a Major in Management Information Systems from Technion College of Engineers at Haifa, Israel, and in parallel to his professional career in IBM, he was assigned several times as a diplomat to Israeli Embassies worldwide.

Vikram (Vik) Gundoju leads the professional services organization at Riversand. He is responsible for delivering professional services and training programs for clients and partners. Vik has over 12 years of diverse experiences in strategy, operations management, and information technology in business, software, financial services, and non-profit industries.

Prior to joining Riversand, Vik held executive management roles at Automatic Data Processing (ADP). He was responsible for developing and executing strategic and operational initiatives, primarily in sales and service operations.

Prior to ADP, Vik spent several years in enterprise IT project management and software consulting roles at leading companies that include Citigroup & IBM. He also held executive leadership roles at a New York based non-profit organization, which he helped turn around and secure a National Award for Chapter Excellence and a NASDAQ opening. Vik is a graduate of Columbia Business School and has a Masters in Computer Science from Oregon State University.

Rob MacEwan is the Vice President for Oil & Gas Division at Riversand Technologies. In his current role, Rob is responsible for leading the Content Services Organization.

 

Rob has over 20 years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. His specialty is working with the buyer and supplier communities to develop and maintain spare parts information, e-catalogs and content standards. Prior to joining Riversand Rob was Senior Manager, Content Integration for the Trade Ranger marketplace where he participated in developing catalog strategies for their buying organization members. Rob also spent 16 years with Chevron maintaining various positions within Operations and their Global Procurement Organization.

Mr. Simpson is responsible for alliances and channel partner programs,inbound/outbound marketing, product marketing and strategic positioning, the Valuestream ROI assessment program, analyst relations and Riversand’s pre-sales support organization. He has over 18 years of Sales, Marketing and Business Development experience at innovative companies that provide significant value to clients.

Before joining Riversand, Mr. Simpson launched his own company, LeadPort, a performance-based business development company.Prior to LeadPort, Mr. Simpson was a Sales Director at Compete, Inc, an online market research company. In addition, Mr. Simpson was responsible for worldwide Sales at iXmatch, an advanced search technology company. Mr. Simpson was also successful in a variety of roles at Net Perceptions – a leader in personalization solutions - including Sales, Business Development and Product Manager while helping to take the company public. Earlier in his career, he worked in strategic Marketing and Sales roles at IBM, Parametric Technology Corporation and the Open Software Foundation(now the Open Group). Mr. Simpson has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University.
