Schneider Electric Further Expands Use of Riversand’s PIM Solution to support Digital Selling Tools across Brands on a Global Basis
Houston, TX – December 08, 2015 – Riversand Technologies, a worldwide provider of Master Data Management(MDM), Product Information Management (PIM) and Data Quality solutions, today announced that Pelco by Schneider Electric’s new beta eCommerce site has launched supported by product data syndicated from Riversand’s PIM solution, MDMCenterTM. When launched into production in early 2016, the new Pelco.com will be the first version of that division’s website with advanced eCommerce functionality such as a dynamic catalog personalization, over 5,000 items available for purchase, a robust shopping cart, category navigation, facetted navigation and auto-complete search – all based upon product content from Riversand’s PIM solution. In addition, the Schneider Electric Building Business unit now leverages Riversand to manage products globally – including North America, Europe and Asia.
The Pelco launch continues the expansion of Schneider Electric’s utilization of Riversand’s MDMCenter solution to support its business operations and increase sales via the online channel on a global basis. It provides another example of how Schneider Electric leverages Riversand’s MDMCenter Product Information Management solution as a foundation for its digital transformation.
